Walleye fishing has been hit and miss in the Muskegon area. Good numbers of fish are in the Muskegon lake area. The problem right now is trying to find them. They are on the move and holding in different areas every day.
Good areas to target are the Muskegon River Mouth on the East end of Muskegon Lake, The West end of Muskegon Lake near the Channel. The Muskegon Channel and pier heads. Most Walleye’s are being caught just before and after dark. Trolling in the top fifeteen feet of the water column has been the most productive.
