Grand Haven Perch Fishing

Perch Fishing in Grand Haven Michigan is still very good. Early morning fishing has been best. After that the fish are on the move.
Although Minnows and Wigglers have said to be best I have been catching most of my perch on Spikes. A gold number 4 hook with a green twister tail tipped with several Spikes or a Perch eye has worked great.
Perch Flie rigs tipped with these or wigglers have been a close second. 65 to 72 feet of water south of the Grand haven pier is where you need to look. There are a couple of good groups of boats most everyday.
You can see them as you come out of the Grand Haven Harbor. Don’t get caught up in the packs unless everyone is pulling fish. Use you’re fish finder if you have one to locate good schools of Perch .
